15 Work at Home Companies that Pay $12 an Hour (Or More!)

Working from home is a great option and today, there are more companies than ever that offer these opportunities.  Working a job from home saves time on your commute, as well as money on gas, among other great perks.  If you’re looking for a work from home job, but don’t want to make minimum wage, here are a few work-from-home jobs that pay $12 or more an hour!

Executive Scheduling Associates

If you get a job here, you’ll work as an appointment scheduler for financial wholesalers. If you love organizing things and setting schedules, then this is a great job for you! Pay starts at $12 with potential to get a raise.

Extended Presence

This is the same idea as above (appointment scheduling), but it also consists of telemarketing work, too. If you’re looking for something that isn’t solely monotonous, then this may be a good job.

Apple

If you live in the US and have internet, then you can work for Apple! You can become an Apple chat agent, which helps customers with any needs that they may have. Pay varies per employee but it’s usually over $12.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel

If you have a gift at finding great travel deals or ideas, then this is a job for you! You would work as a remote travel counselor, which entails helping people figure out their travel plans, whatever they may be!

Blooms Today

While this company usually only hires at-home-workers seasonally, it can still be a great way to boost income when needed. They pay $15 an hour and you’ll be doing mainly customer service work for any clients that call or message in.

Doctors on Demand

This might sound intense, but it’s not too bad. At this company, you would work as a customer support agent. However, they do require that you have at least 2 years of healthcare experience and the pay ranges for $16 to $18 an hour.

Blue Zebra Appointment Setting

This company pays $15 an hour for their at-home workers. Your job would consist of cold calling other businesses to try to get deals and meetings set up. They do like you to have some sort of experience in B2B cold calling, however, so take that into consideration.

Brighten Communications

This job is relatively the same as the one mentioned above: you’d mainly be doing cold calls for them. They pay around $12 to $18 an hour, depending on experience and quality.

eModeration

At this company, you would work as a social media moderator. This entails lots of jobs, but basically, you would be monitoring their social media accounts and making sure that everything was running smoothly and that customers were being responded to and helped appropriately and in a timely fashion.

Intermedia

If you’re tech-savvy, then this is the job for you! You’d provide remote tech support for any of their customers, so you’ll need to know your way around a computer. However, they pay $18 an hour, so it’s a pretty good deal.

Ginger.io

To work here, you have to have some sort of counseling and/or therapy experience. Basically, ginger.io provides remote counseling for anyone that calls in needing help. Remember, though, that this isn’t a crisis or suicide hotline, it’s just an outlet for people who need someone to talk to and listen.

Appen

This company provides website evaluation jobs for at-home workers. At this job, you will check their websites and make sure things are working properly and that there aren’t any issues or bugs.

Chegg Tutoring

This is one of the better tutoring websites that I’ve seen. They pay $20 an hour, but you have to have experience in the field you’d be tutoring (in other words, you can’t say you’ll tutor in math if you don’t really know what you’re doing). You also need a webcam so that the students can video call if necessary.

Elevate K12

This tutoring site doesn’t seem as rigorous as Chegg, but it also doesn’t pay as well. However, if you want to be an online instructor or virtual tutor, try your hand here. They pay $12 an hour and you can choose your hours.

Leapforce

This is one of many companies that provide search engine evaluation. When working from home, you’d be in charge of making sure that search engines are functioning properly, the SEO works, and that no one is trying to cheat the system. They pay about $13 an hour.

How I Make $100k+ Online While Working From Home

There are tons of ways to make money nowadays. You can have a traditional job (nothing wrong with that), work from home, and/or work purely online. If you don’t limit what kind of work you do (and where you do it), then you can grow your income to over $100k! Here are just a few ways to do that.

Some people don’t like this, but don’t be afraid to take on side jobs. Lots of jobs that I started on the side grew into full-time jobs that vastly increased my income. You can take on one side job (if it pays well or gives you a big workload), or you can take on numerous “lighter” side jobs. At first, this may just supplement your day job, but it can easily grow from there.

Online work is becoming more and more acceptable and preferred in today’s digital world. You can do anything from managing large accounts to tutoring online! The great thing about this kind of work is that it’s diverse and almost always allows you to fit it to your schedule so you don’t have to worry about cramming everything in at a certain time.

If you don’t like online work but still want to work from home, you can try starting your own out-of-home business. This could be anything from making and selling products to converting your downstairs into a spa and massage (I recommend you be a professional in either of these fields). Be creative and do something you love.

If you have online content and websites (or even a big backyard near a busy road), take on advertisers! They’ll love the space and views you’ll give them, and it’s a super easy way to make some passive income. You don’t have to do anything but reach out to advertisers to make this kind of money.

A subtype of online advertising that I think is important enough for its own page is affiliate advertising. This is when a company will pay you to write a review/talk about their product on your blog or websites. The bigger your following, the more you get paid for this (plus you can make commission for every viewer that buys the product). If you haven’t tried this already, reach out to some companies and make them an offer.

I mentioned this earlier, but passive income is one of my favorite ways to make money. Why? Because once the money flow is set up, you don’t have to do ANYTHING! This can come from things like advertisers, but it’s really common through books or something that gives you commission or royalty.

You can also try your hand at product reviews (again, if you have a lot of followers). This is different from affiliate advertising because you’re outright reviewing the product (affiliate advertising only requires that you mention the product in your posts). You get paid for doing the review and (often) for any commission from viewers who buy the product.

I think the most important thing to remember if you want to earn $100K or more is to learn new things and work hard! Technology is changing so quickly, so if you want to make money in the online game, then you need to embrace new strategies and devices. And, the harder you work, the more successful you’re going to be!

7 SERIOUS Ways to Add $500 to Your Income

You’d be surprised at how much an extra $500 a month can free up your budget and make you a LOT less stressed. Whether you’re just starting to look for a job or want a side job for some extra cash on the side, here are seven great ways to add to your income.

Join a network marketing company. I know a lot of people are hesitant about these, and rightly so, since lots of them are either scams or don’t offer a good deal. However, if you can get in the right company at the right time, then you can easily add $500 to your income. I would suggest talking to friends and family members that you trust to see if they’re in a company like this (you’d be surprised at how many people actually are) and then see if you can get in on the action.

If you want to work from home but still make some money, then become a virtual assistant. There are tons of sites that you can sign up for that allow you to schedule appointments, organize meetings, and do other remote online tasks for companies that are willing to pay a pretty decent salary. And you get to do it all from the comfort of your own home!

If being a virtual assistant isn’t for you, don’t worry, there’s still tons of other online jobs you can do! One great job is being a tutor (you could also do this in real life, too). You can register for sites like Chegg that pay you $20 an hour to tutor! If you don’t have any specific skills you’re comfortable tutoring in, you could teach people to speak English since you’re (probably) already a pro.

Of course, I need to mention blogging as a great way to make an extra $500 (check out this article for tips on how to start your own!). While you may not get that much right when you start, if you put in the right amount of time and dedication, then it’s not too hard to reach. By building a solid following and utilizing advertising space just right, you can easily make $500.

Try your hand at freelance writing or ghostwriting! Freelance is when people or companies hire you to write content for them. Ghostwriting is similar but, instead, you write in place of someone else; you in essence “sell” them your writing and then they post it as their own. You can actually get some pretty good income through doing this, especially if you’re a good writer.

Another great way to make money is by starting an online shop or start a small side business. If you’re good at crafting or are an expert at making a certain product, then you can start selling them locally and online to make some money. Websites like Etsy, Amazon, and eBay all allow you to create an online “storefront” for you to sell your products.

There’s always the classic way of making a bit of extra money by getting a part time job! You could work at a library, grocery store, waiting tables, whatever you want. You shouldn’t have to work too hard or too long in order to make an extra $500.

7 Serious Ways to Add $500 to Your Income

7 Easy Ways to Make Money Blogging

Years ago, I would hear that people were blogging for a “living” and I always wondered HOW are they making money?  How does blogging give them a substantial enough income that they can live on it?

Blogging has changed my life.  It has paid off our student loans, paid off cars, credit cards and we even bought a new camping trailer, yay!  It has also sustained our family through a career transition for my husband.  So, if you are like I once was, and are wondering how you can make money blogging, this is the right place for you.  There are a lot of revenue streams, but I have outlined the most popular sources of income for bloggers.

If you are interested in starting a blog, you can find step by step instructions on how to start a blog for really cheap!  You can start a money-making blog for as little as a few dollars a month through my special Bluehost link discount, so hurry and take advantage of this opportunity before it expires!  In order to make money blogging, you want to have a self-hosted blog, which means buying a hosting package.  You will even receive a free domain if you sign up for hosting with this new deal.  In order to maximize the money you can make, you need to be self-hosted.  So, if you are interested and want to start a blog, I can walk you through it.

  1. Ad networks like Google Adsense and others are a great place to start.  They are easy to use, have great analytics and reporting and will be a perfect first step in making money blogging. To get started, apply for an account (that is after you have started your blog.  You need to have a domain name and hosting, which you can get here for a very special discount for my readers.)  Once you have been approved by Google Adsense, you create ad blocks.  You choose the size, color, font, etc. and then you literally copy and paste the ad code into your website.  There are plugins (I like ad inserter) that make it especially easy.  You can choose where to place your ad block (in your post, on the sidebar, at the bottom, in the header, etc.) Take some time and look through different programs to find the one that fits you best. AdSense is common, but you may find one you like more. The way Adsense works, is that advertisers go to Google and sign up with Google Adwords.  They then place the ad on your site, and when someone clicks on an ad, you get a portion of that click.  It is called PPC (pay-per-click) advertising.  Google gets a cut and you get a cut.  And it is a win-win.
  1. If you want a bigger portion of the profit and are willing to put some extra leg work in, then you could consider direct advertising. There are a few ways to go about this, but you’ll need to have a pretty good base of followers and traffic before you start searching for direct advertisers.  This version of advertising is a little bit more work, because you have to find the advertisers yourself, but you then get 100% of the agreed upon rate for your advertising.  Some bloggers choose to have a set monthly rate for certain sizes of advertisements, while others track performance and charge based on clicks, customers, etc.  Find companies that don’t directly compete with your brand, but are very complimentary to your blog niche and reader base.
  1. You could also work with affiliates on your site to get some extra money out of your blog. Affiliate programs are pretty simple and used by quite a few bloggers. Pretty much, you endorse or write articles about why you like a certain product in hopes that your readers will go out and buy that product. The more followers that use your link to buy the product, the more money you get from the company. While this is a good way to make money, there are a few guidelines I would suggest if you do this. First, don’t endorse all sorts of products just so you can make lots of money; endorse quality products you actually like and use. If you don’t, your viewers will know and you run the risk of losing your audience. Secondly, be open and honest that you’re an affiliate for a certain product. Make sure your reader knows that and don’t force the product down their throat—that will get obnoxious quickly and, again, your audience could diminish. If you like the product and really do want others to know about it, then you should feel excited and confident to begin the affiliate program!
  1. Some companies will actually pay you to just do a product review; you don’t even have to be part of an affiliate program. This is really similar to affiliate marketing, but instead of promoting and endorsing the product on your blog, you simply write a review about it. Tell your audience what you liked about it, what you didn’t like so much, and why you prefer that product over other similar brands. Again, make sure to be honest and straight-forward with your readers. You don’t want them investing in your word and then getting upset when the product isn’t as good as you said. Don’t sacrifice immediate cash for long-term followers and trust.
  1. Actually, you actually don’t even have to have your own blog to make money off blogging. Sound crazy? Well, it’s not. If you love writing, but all the other marketing aspects of a profitable blog don’t interest you, you can be a freelance writer. You can send your material to blogs you think would be interested in publishing your content. It may take a while to build up a reputation as a freelance writer, but once you have it then you can get a pretty solid income from it.
  1. Ghostwriting is a little different; instead of having your name posted to all the articles that you submit to blogs and get published, your name won’t be seen (hence the “ghost” part of ghost writing). Pretty much, you can be employed by a blogger to write content for them and they just assume it as their own. You can actually make this a part-time (or even full-time) job, especially if you work for numerous different bloggers. It can kind of be hard to get into this business at first (unless you personally know a professional blogger), but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it! If you’re a really good ghostwriter, you can make up to $50 per article you’re assigned, and some articles take less than an hour to write. That’s a good deal!
  1. If you’re a successful blogger, why not become a successful author too! You can actually repurpose your old blogs and sell them as books (or, more likely, e-books). Of course, you’ll need to reformat your blogs to fit into a professional looking book, but if you have content that people want quick and constant access to, you can make some good money off this. Some really successful bloggers have made over $70,000 in a week from e-book sales, so it obviously works. If you’re having problems selling your blog content, then you can made a related e-book to your blog and then advertise it on your blog! It’s similar content that your followers love and you have a platform that gives free advertising. The perfect combination!

7 Easy Ways to Make Money Blogging

15 {Legit} Ways to Make an Extra $1,500 a Month

With the holidays just behind us and Valentine’s Day only a few weeks away, the wallet can seem pretty slim at times. Having to stretch finances, miss fun activities, or even struggle to pay monthly bills can put a lot of extra stress on you and your family. However, instead of cutting away at your budget, why not try to add a little more to it? No, you don’t need to go pick up a job at the local frozen yogurt store to pay those bills, there are actually tons of other ways to make money. In fact, here’s a list of 15 legitimate ways you can make an extra $1,500 a month, depending on how many and how much you decide to do.
  1. First off, I recommend you start a blog. Not only is it a super enjoyable (and even de-stressing) activity, it’s also a great way to make some extra cash. Lots of people think you have to be some young celebrity or genius advertiser in order to make money on a blog, but that’s simply not true. In fact, many bloggers make six-figure incomes working very few hours from home.   It is a great way to do something you like, while you have a flexible schedule and work from home.  It has allowed me to stay home with my kiddies and earn a six-figure income to help support our family.  We have paid off student loans, car loans, bought a few fun toys (hello camping!) and allowed us to take the kids on some pretty fun vacations.  When I started blogging, I had no idea that I would be able to pay off debt and completely provide for my family.  If you are interested in working from home and starting a blog, visit my step by step tutorial.  Two of the most common ways to make money from a blog are affiliate marketing and advertising.
  2. A quick jump over from blogging is ghost writing. You still provide written content, but you don’t have to worry about running the blog business and taking care of other aspects. You simply just have to write. And, if you’re really good at this, you can work for multiple companies on numerous projects while still keeping your day job.
  3. If you love doing photography, then there’s a whole load of side gigs you can do to make extra cash every month. If you don’t want to worry about dealing with people for portrait photography then you could do real estate photography. All you need to do is have a good camera and a good eye for quality pictures. With more than 90% of home buyers using the Internet to find future homes, realtors are in high need of photographers to make their properties look beautiful and professional online.
  4. If teaching has always been a passion of yours, then try tutoring to make some extra cash. You can even do online tutoring so that you don’t have to leave your house! Websites like Chegg will pay you up to $20 an hour to tutor their service users. A bit of processing is required in the beginning to make sure you’re a valid and trustworthy tutor, but once you get approved, you can be making money and learning every day.
  5. Closely tied to academic tutoring, is teaching English as a second language. And the best part is that you (probably) don’t have to even study to be qualified to teach English, you probably already know it! There are lots of ways to get involved in teaching English as a second language, from local opportunities to online ones, as well. The longer you do it and the better you are, the more money you can make. You could even get involved in private tutoring lessons!
  6. If you’ve always wanted to be a movie star but just never made it to Hollywood, then there’s still hope for you to accomplish that dream. Start a YouTube channel and, if you’re dedicated enough, you can quickly get up to earning $1,500 a month for ads and other promotional material. Not only is this extra money every month, but it’s also a great way to blow off steam, get creative, and have fun!
  7. Earn some extra income by using your talents!  If you have art skills, find places to do face painting on the side! You’d be surprised at how many birthday parties, community events, and fairs are looking for face painters. You don’t have to be the next Picasso, you just need to be good at basic designs and patterns and not be afraid of painting people’s faces. Some really good face painters have even made up to an extra $12,000 a year in doing face painting.
  8. During the summer and warmer season, mowing lawns and doing lawn care is a great way to make some extra money on the side. Depending on the size of the lawn, you can make anywhere from (usually) $10 to $70 per lawn. The average lawn probably takes about 45 minutes to mow and pays $25 to $30 dollars. If you were to just mow ten lawns every week then you’d already be around $1,000. Add some hedge trimming and flower maintenance to your package and you’ll easily make $1,500 a month.
  9. An incredibly easy way to make some extra money on the side is renting out any extra space you have in your home or rent out your actually home when you’re on vacation somewhere! You make money by doing nothing. Programs and companies like airbnb give you access to a wide range of guests who may need a place to stay in your hometown. You just have to pass the host application and you can start making money right away!
  10. Much like Airbnb, companies like Uber and Lyft let you use your own assets to make money on a big scale. You can become a “homemade” taxi driver through some companies that schedule and coordinate all the rides you’ll give. These programs usually let you keep up to 80% of the price of the ride, so it’s a pretty hefty sum of money! This is especially great if you live in a big city where tourism is high.
  11. This idea may seem random, but parking lot cleanup is apparently a great way to make money on the side, and sometimes has made people more money than their day jobs. If you love being outdoors and don’t mind a little bit of hard work, this could be a great option for you. The best part is that it doesn’t require any specialized education, just a desire to make contacts and get to work.
  12. Do people tell you that you’re hilarious? If so, consider doing comedy as a job on the side to make some extra cash. From small weekend activities to huge corporate events, your comedy can bring a smile to people’s faces and some extra cash to your wallet. If you’re really good at it, you could make up to $20,000 per event and even get invited to travel to places like Australia and South Africa!
  13. Turn your musical interests into a source of income with a little bit of hard work and perseverance! It’s actually relatively easy to get a music gig at local restaurants and hangouts. You may have to charge low fees (or not at all), but if you’re good, then you can quickly start making a steady flow of cash. Your goal doesn’t have to be fame (although that would be nice), but with a decent music job you can easily make $1,500 of extra income.
  14. If you want a little risk in order to get that extra reward, consider peer lending. In essence, this is where you loan your own money out to people who are in need of funds to start projects or companies. The program is well vetted in making sure that lenders don’t get scammed and get paid. You might not make money right away, but the benefits can start rolling in if you’re patient, plus you might hit a goldmine, you never know.
  15. For those of you who love sports, then look at part time coaching positions around the community. Many of the community programs and even some schools open their positions to community members if they can’t get a teacher or volunteer. This would let you be outside and in fresh air while getting paid to hang out with young kids! I didn’t coach when I was younger, but I did work sidelines at football games. I just had to stand in the sun and walk a little bit for some extra, easy-made cash.

10 Ways to Earn a Living On the Internet

My husband and I joke that we “print money from the internet.”  While it really is not that easy, there are a lot of ways that you can make money online. Let’s first talk about the why.  Why would you want to make money on the internet?  The question should be, “why wouldn’t you?”  Making money on the internet has allowed my family to pay off student loans, pay off all other debt, live freely, travel the world, work from anywhere, have a flexible schedule.  It has also allowed my husband to quit his day job (he is the CFO of the blogging business) and allowed us to make great strides in paying off our home.  We get to be our own boss, on our own schedule.  All these things have been a great dream for my family, not to mention, we are in complete control of our destiny.  No salary caps or pay curves to deal with.  It is up to us, and that is the part that we love. Here are 10 ways to make money on the internet: 1. Start a Blog If you want to work from home and have a lot to say, blogging is probably a really great fit for you.  You can make money online by blogging!  If I can do it, so can you.  If you want to start a blog, I will walk you through the process, step by step.  If you want your blog to make money, you need to start with a domain name and hosting.  Don’t make a common mistake and use a free platform, like Blogger.  You need a self-hosted website in order to monetize your blog and put advertisements of your choosing on your blog.  You can learn more about that on my step-by-step tutorial explaining how to start a money-making blog. Once you have a blog, you can make money blogging by using advertisements, affiliates, sponsorships, promotions, freelance blogging, consulting and more! First step is to get a domain name and hosting. If you don’t know what that means, read Blogger Basics-Starting From Scratch.  Right now, you can start your own blog for only a few dollars a month (which is SUPER cheap!) through my special link here. 2. Be a Freelance Writer If you want to write online but don’t want to start a blog, consider just writing for others! There are actually quite a few freelancing and ghostwriting jobs out there that can help you earn extra cash. If you are not familiar with the world of freelance writing, it is when you get your writing published online and you’re given credit. Many websites solicit articles and, if they’re good enough and fit the site’s topic, then they’ll pay you to publish it. Some websites will give pay you up to $100 per article.  If you are a talented writer, this is a great way to earn a living on the internet.  Read more if you are interested in getting freelance writing gigs. Ghostwriting is similar, but instead of having your name on the article, it’s just published under another person or a general company. Not as glamorous, but it’s a great way to earn some cash. 3. Use Your Social Media Account or Profile If you have an online profile, (social media or otherwise) you can start using it to get a paycheck!  Just like the blog, you can contract with companies and offer them ad space in return for payment. If you have a captive audience, you can use this as an opportunity.  Large companies (and small) pay big dollars for shoutouts, product reviews, etc to advertise their products to your audience.  There are a lot of brand representatives that do this and earn tens of thousands a month on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and more!  If you are interested, you can learn more about How to Quit Your Job and Make Money on Instagram. 4. Start a Youtube Channel This might not be for everyone, but Vlogging is taking the internet by storm!  Some of the biggest Vloggers (Video Bloggers) are multi-millionaires.  If you have interesting things to say, or want to do tutorials, you can make a lot of money on YouTube. 5. Do Online Surveys There are a lot of survey companies out there that pay you to complete surveys in your down time.  This is a great way to make money on the internet in those pockets of time, when you aren’t doing anything.  There are a lot of great things about survey companies and it is the perfect way to make extra cash online.  If you are interested, here are 8 Survey Sites You Can Use to Make Extra Money. 6. Freelance Editing Calling all English teachers out there!  This is a great way to make extra money on the internet.  Freelance proofreading and editing is a huge industry and you can pick up side gigs doing something you love! 7. Consulting Constulting is a very robust industry.  Web consultants can teach businesses how to better run their website, design ideas, how to convert to sales, etc.  This isn’t something you just “hop” into, though.  This is a great way to make extra money on the internet, if you have skills that you can use to consult businesses in their internet and web practices. 8. Write an Ebook I am seeing Ebooks everywhere!  If they are in an interesting or helpful niche, I buy them.  If you have particular expertise in a subject that your readers or followers may be interested in, this is a great way to earn money on the internet.  The thing I like about this, is that once you have it done, you make residual money from it forever (or at least until it is outdated.) I am a big fan of things that can be made once, that provide residual profits.  This is a great example of that. 9. GPT Sites GPT Sites are websites where you “get paid to” do things. This can be anything from rating a product online to random other tasks that people just need to get done. Usually the payout isn’t super big for each task, but if you can get through a lot of them, then the rewards add up. 10. Website Reviewer If you find yourself with a bit of extra time every now and then, you can become a website reviewer and start making money right away. You are a trial user for a website or you get online with the specific goal of finding errors or problems with a website that make it less user-friendly. You can make money doing this and also feel satisfied that you’re helping others have a more enjoyable online experience. Win/win. I have managed to pay off 20k in student loans, quit a miserable job and make a six-figure income while working from home.  Blogging has literally changed my life!  I am now staying home with my babies and working on the side.  Blogging has brought in as much as $74,000 a month through advertisements and affiliate networks.  There is a lot of money to make from home with a blog.  Find out how you can start a blog and make money from home blogging.
  2. You can also become a driver for companies like Uber and Lyft. Not only do you get to pick your own hours for this, but you also don’t have to pay any fees, you just have to meet the requirements for your car. If you live in a big city or near a tourist attraction, then this is a great way to make some extra money.
  3. For those of you with lots of connections or a website with a strong fanbase, then try selling products. They can be homemade products or other company’s products that you support and use. If you use things like Beachbody, 21-day fix, Truvision, or Essential Oils at home, then endorse and sell their product.
  4. This may not be earning money, but it’s a way to save money (which is pretty much making money, right?). Use Ibotta to get rebates back on your grocery trips. You simply just take a picture of your receipt, upload it, and then you’ll get money back! Ebates allows you to also access rebates online, so there are lots of options!
  5. If you like writing, you can also try becoming a freelance writer! This is pretty common nowadays, especially online. You can do freelance writing in print, but blogs and websites are more common. There are websites like Freelancer, Upwork (which acquired Odesk), and Guru that give you access to lots of freelance writing jobs. Or, if you really want, you can start your own blog! That way you’re your own boss and get all the money!
  6. With the focus on social media lately, you can use your Twitter account to make some extra money. All you need is to have sponsored tweets. You can get in contact with companies or find an online program that acts as an intermediary between you and other businesses. Depending on how many followers you have, this can be quite lucrative.
  7. Anyone who has experience with finances can make some extra cash by keeping books for small, local businesses. This is a lot easier nowadays with Quickbooks. If you aren’t already familiar with the program but know your way around finances, then definitely get to know it so you can start making some money. Plus, you’ll be helping local businesses out, which is definitely a plus.
  8. If you like making crafts and want to make some more money from them, consider selling your work on Etsy. You don’t have to pay any monthly fees, although there is a transaction fee and standard commission fee. However, I definitely think that’s worth the price, especially since you get access to all of the Etsy users.
  9. Here’s an idea I hadn’t heard of, but it really seems like a good one. There is a subscription fee, however, so make sure it’s something you’ll actually use and make money from.
  10. There are lots of apps out there that you can download onto your phone or computer that let you earn money just for using your device. Most of them give you $5 or so for signing up and then you earn rewards that add up to points every week. Some of these apps are Placed Panel and Media Insiders Panel.
  11. Some companies out there, when they have a new product or an update to a product, will recruit testers to give them feedback on their product. You can sign up for this position and help them out! Depending on the program, a lot of the time you get the product for free or at a discounted price as well as make some money on the side.
  12. This is an interesting job, but hey, if you like knitting then definitely give it a try! Not only do you get the knitting patterns for free, but you also get store credit. 15. There are some awesome apps and programs out there, and I recently found a few that not only help you earn money but also motivate you to lose Weight. Apps like HealthyWage and DietBet are exactly what they sound like: systems you use to place bets or wagers on the amount of weight you plan/hope to lose. If you do, you get money. If not, you lose the money. Now that sounds like a good way to get motivated!
  16. Another way to make some extra money is to become a ghostwriter. Unlike freelancing writing, being a ghostwriter doesn’t get your name out there, at least not publicly. Pretty much, you write for a person or a company and then they use your work as their own. No attention, but you still get paid.
  17. Have you ever used a search engine and then been so confused at how wrong its guess was or how off the results were? 22. Okay, maybe you’re getting sick of these photography ideas, but here’s another great one! Try picking up real estate photography! 90% of homebuyers look online at houses before they commit, so it’s vital for realtors to have professional and attractive pictures of their property. Get into this business, and you’ll have extra cash coming in all the time.
  23. Here’s a pretty obvious way to make money, but try selling your things on Amazon or other similar sites. Some sites let you sell your old and gently used items, although not all of them. So after you pick what products you want to sell, then choose the vendor that best suits your needs.
  24. If you have a closet full of old clothes that you never wear, why not just sell them? You can actually even rent out your clothes to other people, did you know that? It’s a pretty good deal!

  32. Believe it or not, you can actually get money for watching TV. Well, not watching TV directly, but RewardsTV will pay you to answer trivia questions about the most recent TV shows. This won’t flood your bank account, but you can make about 15 to 20 extra dollars a month.
  33. Another great way to make money from your writing is by making an e-book. There are lots of people out there that go through self-publishing venues and online publishers in order to get their books out to the world.

  35. Another way you can use your creativity to make some money is by helping companies name themselves. Sites like SquadHelp give you the change to help businesses come up with names and names for their products. You can win up to $200 per contest and there’s (usually) no limit to the number of contests you enter.
  36. Somewhat along those same lines is coming up with company slogans. Taglines, advertising slogans, and jingles are just some of the options. If you really enjoy writing and have a creative mind, then you can even do greeting cards!
  37. If you love spending time on the Internet then become a website consultant! Businesses will pay people to give them feedback on their websites and fix them up (if possible). It doesn’t require a lot of time and you can usually do it whenever you’re free.

  44. Lots of pizza places, like Papa John’s and Pizza Hut, will hire you to be a “mystery shopper” for them. Part of the requirements are that you time the delivery, rate the customer service, rate the quality of pizza, etc. You can actually get free food for this and even make some money.

  47. Depending on where you live, yard work may be a very viable and profitable business. For places where warm weather lets the lawns grow for a long portion of the year, if you picked up even 10 lawns a week, you could earn $250 dollars a week or more than $1000 a month.

How to Become an Amazon Product Reviewer

Set up your profile

You can’t become a product reviewer if you don’t have an account set up, right? So, get an Amazon account and then go to amazon.com/profile and you’ll go to your profile page. Keep this professional looking and up-to-date, because this is where people will go to contact you and see your reviews.

Join a reviewer website

There are a few out there that you can get involved in. iReviewHome and Reviewso are just a few. These websites get you access to products and promo codes that usually discount the item by 50-75%. You need to be a part of these sites because it gets your name and profile out there so you can have access to more deals and products.

Stay on top of your reviews

Don’t buy or get a product and then wait 2 months to put up a review. This sets a bad standard for your work and will also repel future companies from you that are looking for product reviewers. Usually a time span of about 2 weeks is ideal to get the product, use it enough, and then provide a decent and well-thought review.

Be Helpful!

Putting a star rating on Amazon and then just having text like, “it was good” or “it didn’t work as well as I thought it would” is not helpful! Tell them what you liked and didn’t like about the product, how you most effectively used it, and it what sort of situations it’s a good buy or bad buy. The more helpful you are, the more people who will follow your reviews, which means the more products companies will want you to try out for them.
